Staff Sgt. Justin Crochet, 11th Civil Engineer Squadron crew chief, inspects self-contained breathing apparatus equipment at Joint Base Andrews, Md., April 14, 2020. The fire department inspects their SCBA every day to ensure functionality. If the device malfunctions, the firefighter could die by not being able to breathe in a smoke-filled building during a fire. Throughout the duration of COVID-19, the 11th CES fire department continues to provide uninterrupted fire and emergency services to ensure the safety of JBA missions, community and firefighters.
