A large indoor facility, likely a convention center or warehouse, is being converted into a temporary military medical or operational installation. Multiple tan/beige modular military units or shelters are being arranged on the floor by personnel in military uniforms. A white curtained partition area is visible in the background right, suggesting a staged patient or operational zone.

Soldiers from 531st Hospital Center set up mobile work stations in the Javits New York Medical Station (JNYMS). The stations will be used to conduct laboratory, x-ray and pharmacy operations. Soldiers, along with FEMA personnel and other federal, state and local agencies began operating a field hospital out of the JNYMS, March 30, to care for non-COVID-19 patients in an effort to relieve the burden on local hospitals, allowing them to focus on coronavirus patients. U.S Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need.
