FORT LEE, Va., - The U.S. Coast Guard Culinary Team, made of five student team members, five professional members and one team manager from all around the Coast Guard, earned the title of 2020 Culinary Team of the Year during the 45th Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise Awards Ceremony at the Lee Theater March 13. The JCTE ran from March 7-12 at Fort Lee, Va., and is an annual opportunity for new military chefs to mingle with seasoned veterans of the culinary field; to receive tips from American Culinary Foundation judges; and to learn more advanced techniques.
