180th Fighter Wing Ohio National Guard

U.S. Army Sgt. Joshua Ladao, an infantryman assigned to Fort Irwin, California, looks for Airmen, assigned to the Ohio National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing, while an F-16 fighter jet, assigned to the 180FW, helps coordinate rescue efforts during a pilot rescue training during exercise Green Flag-West in the Mojave Desert near Fort Irwin, California, Feb. 18, 2020. The pilot rescue training simulates a downed pilot attempting to coordinate rescue while evading enemy capture. Green Flag-West is a realistic, Air-to-Surface, joint training exercise designed to improve interoperability between aircraft while supporting ground troops by allowing U.S. military branches, as well as other NATO and allied nations, an opportunity to work together, as they would in military operations around the world.
