The Honorable Mr. Thomas B. Modly, Secretary of the Navy (Acting), visits with Brig. Gen. James F. Glynn, Commanding General, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and the Eastern Recruiting Region, and Lt. Col. Robyn E. Mestemacher, Commanding Officer, 4th Recruit Training battalion, during his visit to Parris Island, S.C. March 6, 2020. Modly visited Parris Island to enhance his understanding of the environment and facilities aboard the depot as an installation in addition to viewing how the U.S. Marine Corps conducts entry-level training.
