200306-N-HR150-1046 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 6, 2020) - Machinist's Mate Fireman George Nance III, from Louisville, Kentucky, a member of the primary attack hose team, fakes down an aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) hose while descending into the fire room during a main-space fire drill aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19). Main-space fire drills are conducted regularly to ensure damage control personnel are trained and prepared in the event of an actual casualty. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
