Sailors direct a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to the 29th Combat Aviation Brigade as it takes off from the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during training operations. New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and is deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
