Rear Adm. Peter A. Gumataotao, commander of Carrier Strike Group (CVW) 11, celebrates the 120,000 aircraft trap of arresting engine three with the V-2 Division aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Engine three now has the second highest number of traps of any in the U.S. Navy, second only to that of the USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Nimitz is underway conducting carrier qualifications in preparation for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2012, the world's largest international maritime exercise.
