200221-N-CD254-1952 DILI, Timor-Leste (Feb. 21, 2020) Utilitiesman 2nd Class Lisa Shelby, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Timor-Leste, uses a trowel to form a mortar bed on the masonry unit blocks for the two-room classroom project. U.S. Navy Seabees are constructing a school in support of the National Institute of Health in Dili, Timor-Leste. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
