200225-N-WA745-1090 POHNPEI, Federated States of Micronesia (Feb. 25, 2020) Gilberston Tanaka (front), Lukedi Aia (center), both from the Pohnpei Department of Education, and Construction Electrician 3rd Class Ignacio Munguia, with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Pohnpei, install cement boards in the computer lab at Sokehs Pah Elementary School. U.S. Navy Seabees are renovating the school, which educates over 140 students from kindergarten to eighth grade from the island of Sokehs. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
