Staff Sgt. Dennis Kradel, a combat engineer with 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment pulls a 57mm round from a hole in a field at the Tarmiyah Poultry Farm near Balad Iraq as Sgt. Kevin Hanson, 2-69, looks on May 13. Kradel and Hanson are part of an eight-man team of combat engineers that had been tasked with assessing and removing as much buried unexploded ordnance from fields at the farm May 10-14. More than 2,000 57mm and larger rounds have been dug up and destoyed as of May 13.
