A group of soldiers in camouflage uniforms are gathered around a fellow soldier lying on the ground, appearing to conduct combat casualty care or tactical combat medicine training. Two soldiers are actively attending to the downed individual while others observe in a standing circle. The setting appears to be an outdoor, arid environment consistent with a training exercise scenario.

Forces Armées Tchadiennes soldiers train in tactical combat casualty care from their Sénégalese trainers near Kaedi, Mauritania, Feb. 19, 2020. This training teaches partner forces a variety of lifesaving skills in a realistic scenario, so that they are fully prepared to perform casualty care in a real situation. Flintlock is an annual, integrated military and law enforcement exercise that has strengthened key partner-nation forces throughout North and West Africa since 2005. Flintlock is U.S. Africa Command’s premier and largest annual Special Operations Forces exercise. (U.S. Army photo Sgt. 1st Class Caleb Barrieau)
