Capt. Douglas M. Bridges Jr., commanding officer, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center (BSC), presents the Navy Superior Civilian Service Award to Brian Zirbel, executive director, NAVSUP BSC, during an all-hands meeting onboard Naval Supply Activity Mechanicsburg, Feb. 20. Zirbel, a native of Green Bay, Wis., received the award for leading a diverse workforce of more than 1,200 personnel across seven sites, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to a culture of excellence, and delivering extraordinary information technology results for fleet and enterprise customers. NAVSUP BSC provides the Navy with information systems support through the design, development, and maintenance of systems in the functional areas of logistics, supply chain management, transportation, finance, and accounting.
