200221-N-YM543-1122 SOUTH CHINA SEA (February 21, 2020) - Retail Specialist Seaman Brandon Walker, from Edison, Georgia, attached to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), is sprayed with oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray during Security Reaction Force Basic (SRF-B) training. During SRF-B training, Sailors learn the weapons handling, self-defense and hand-to-hand combat skills necessary to deal with hostile threats and maintain mission security. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
