SPRING BRANCH, Texas - (Feb. 19, 2020) Capt. Anthony Bayungan, of San Diego, commodore of Navy Recruiting Region West, Navy Recruiting Command (NRC), speaks with Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) students of Smithson Valley High School regarding college scholarship opportunities and the important of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Bayungan, along with Region West’s command master chief and chief recruiter, is visiting several recruiting stations within Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio's area of responsibility and speaking with high school and college students regarding officer and enlisted programs in America’s Navy. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
