The 73rd Army Band, Virgin Islands National Guard, performs at the opening ceremony of the Virgin Islands 49th Annual Agriculture and Food Festival, February 15, 2020, St Croix, VI.
The Band’s performance included the Governor’s March, the VI March, and the National Anthem. The Band first performed at AG Fair 2019, as a part of a community outreach incentive, working in conjunction with VING’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion. The purpose of the community outreach incentive is to generate interest in the VI Guard—building and strengthening its forces through the enlistment of recruits.
This year, the organizers of the event formally requested that they return to perform, allowing them the opportunity to showcase their abilities once again and generating interest in both the VI Guard and the 73rd Army Band.
