PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 13, 2020) – A landing craft, air cushion (LCAC) assigned to the “Swift Intruders” of Assault Craft Unit 5 transits from the amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27) to Camp Pendleton, California, during Exercise Iron Fist 2020. Iron Fist is an annual exercise designed to enhance the U.S. and Japanese forces’ ability to plan, communicate and conduct combined amphibious operations.
