PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 27, 2020) Sgt. Charlie Cox, a combat engineer with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, explains the cycle of operations of an M240B medium machine gun to Sailors with the Whidbey-Island class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) during an M240B training event. Germantown, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
