The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District's Nellis Resident Office recently completed a solar panel project at the Bureau of Land Management's fire station at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area near Las Vegas. The new photovoltaic system, installed in the carport canopies which were specially designed for the project, is capable of generating 40 KWAC to provide power for all the buildings on the facility.
