As of Jan. 1, veterans who did not retire from the military, but have service-related disabilities, or are Purple Heart recipients or veterans who were prisoners of war will now be able to receive access to military installations and receive shopping privileges to the Commissary and Base Exchange along with other on-base sites, such as the golf course, lodging and the RV campground. Veterans meeting these criteria must have a Veterans Health Identification Card, which can be acquired by enrolling in the Veterans Affairs Health Care System. (U.S. Air Force photo/Kelly White)
