A rifle team made up of drill sergeants from 3rd Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment, fire a 21-gun salute to honor Pfc. Connor James McGurran during a memorial service Jan. 16 at the Daniel Circle Chapel. McGurran had completed eight of his 10 week Basic Combat Training cycle when he was found unresponsive during a field training exercise.
