Lt. Cmdr. Colin Price, from Brandon, Fla., a pilot with the Diamondbacks of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, right, and Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Eric Brown, from Brigham City, Utah, cut a cake celebrating the 150,000th arrested landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). Price flew and landed an F/A-18F Super Hornet, and Brown was the engine operator that directly contributed to this milestone event. George Washington departed its homeport of Fleet Activities Yokosuka on May 26 to begin its 2012 patrol. George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interest of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
