Q. What did you do for a career?
A: My professional background is in the fields of Public Health and Medical Education. I entered into politics - Cheyenne Mayor from 1977 to 1989. After those years I had my own “Don Erickson Planning” service until I retired in 2008.
Q. What do you think is the greatest benefit of the ESGR program?
A. Although I have not been in the service, I would say it’s threefold: 1)the nationwide network of volunteers, 2) assisting both "soldiers" and employers to understand USERRA and 3) strengthen our national security.
Q. How long have you been volunteering with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR)?
A. 20 years
Q. Why do you volunteer?
A. National Security and the Guard and Reserve are a significant component of our military strength.
