AL ASAD, Iraq (March 26, 2005): Chief Petty Officer Jeff A. Conaway, surgical shock trauma section, carefully watches as his fellow sailors from Surgical Company, Combat Logistics Battalion-2, 2d Force Service Support Group (Forward), unload wounded Marines from an Army UH-60Q (Blackhawk) helicopter during a medical evacuation here March 23. The Connellsville, Penn., native responsibilities include ensuring the safety of medical personnel when unloading the patients and moving them into the operating room. The wounded Marines were brought to the hospital after an improvised explosive device detonated, damaging their vehicle during convoy operations in western Iraq. (Photo By Cpl. John E. Lawson Jr.)
