A barracks dedication ceremony is held in memory of U.S. Army Sgt. Marshall L. Edgerton on Fort Gordon, Georgia, Dec. 11, 2019. Edgerton deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with Alpha Company, 82nd Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division in Aug. 2003 where he was killed by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. The building named in his honor is the largest barracks facility on Fort Gordon with 300 rooms capable of holding 900 Soldiers attending Advanced Individual Training. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
