YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec.11, 2019) – Electrician’s Mate 1st Class Renee Yeatesbrisbon, assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) degaussing range, delivers a daikon (Japanese radish) to a pedestrian during the Year-End Traffic Safety Campaign at Yokosuka-Chuo Station. The daikon symbolizes the Japanese phrase daikon-zetsu which means to abolish. The campaign is designed to raise awareness to prevent drinking and driving. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 26,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
