    191211-N-HH215-1013
YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec.11, 2019) – Capt. Rich Jarrett, Commanding Officer of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) delivers a speech during the Year-End Traffic Safety Campaign at Yokosuka-Chuo Station. During the campaign, Sailors and members from the CFAY Safety Department delivered daikons (Japanese radishes) to pedestrians. The daikon symbolizes the Japanese phrase daikon-zetsu which means to abolish. The campaign is designed to raise awareness to prevent drinking and driving. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 26,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
