191205-N-QR336-1002 NARRA, Palawan (Dec. 5, 2019) Builder Constructionman Carlito Calot, with the Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 2, ties together reinforcing steel to make the rebar mat for the new schoolhouse at Malatgao Elementary School. U.S. Navy Seabees deployed with NMCB-5’s Detail Palawan are working with the Seabees with AFP to build the schoolhouse. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
