YORKTOWN, Va. (Nov. 201, 2019) -- Master-at-Arms 1st Class Chris Pullon, a Sailor assigned to the security department aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), qualifies with an M4 carbine rifle at the Yorktown Small Arms Range during George Washington’s Anti-Terrorism Tactical Watch Officer Academy. George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier’s 50-year service life that includes refueling the ship’s two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repairs, upgrades, and modernization.
