SAN ANTONIO – (Nov. 8, 2019) Twin brothers Stephen (left) and George Coppage, of San Antonio, are making final preparations to attend recruit training and becoming Sailors in America’s Navy. Scheduled to ship to boot camp together in January 2020, Stephen will serve as an aviation electronics technician, while George will be an aviation structural mechanic. The brothers, who attended Louis D. Brandeis High School, were recruited by Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Aircraft Handler) 2nd Class Brooks Anderson assigned to Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Mercado. Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
