The children of 1st Lt. Loren Hintz, Martin Hintz (left) and Gretchen Hintz-Wronka give a speech at their dad's ceremony at the Florence American Cemetery, Nov. 16, 2019 in Florence, Italy. A World War II pilot, Hintz crashed, April 21, 1945 near Bologna, Italy while on a mission protecting Army Air Force bombers. Hintz's initial partially recovered remains were buried at an American Cemetery in Florence more than 70 years ago.
