SAN ANTONIO - (Nov. 9, 2019) Yeoman 2nd Class Angelica Brown, of San Antonio, the community service coordinator assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio and Ordnanceman 2nd Class Gabriela Myers, of San Antonio, assigned to Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Southeast San Antonio, joined by other military branches, veterans, state and city officials, and other groups, participated in the annual Veterans Day Parade hosted by the U.S. Military Veterans Parade Association during Military City USA's Celebrate America's Military (CAM) Week. Sponsored by the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce since 1970, CAM serves as annual tribute to the military. Brown joined America’s Navy in 2014 after graduating from Southwest High School. Myers joined the Navy after graduating from Louis D. Brandeis High School in 2012 becoming a recruiter in 2018. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
