SAGAMIHARA, Japan – Nine Soldiers and noncommissioned officers assigned to various units throughout 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade gather during the Pacific Guardian of the Quarter Competition closing ceremony at Sagami General Depot Nov. 7. Staff Sgt. Alfred Taitano (center left), Patriot fire control enhanced operator/maintainer, and Spc. Isaac Swilling (center right), petroleum supply specialist, both with Echo Battery, 3rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), won the NCO and Soldier categories respectively during the grueling test of their physical and mental abilities Nov. 6-7.
