Lt. Col. Russel Gibson, former commander of the 102nd Oregon Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP), works through simulated communication issues that would follow a major earthquake in Dhaka during the tabletop exercise portion of the Bangladesh Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange (DREE) hosted by the Bangladesh Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), Bangladesh Armed Forces Division (AFD), and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), on Oct. 29. The DREE brings together 20 countries working in partnership (or collaboration) with government and non-government organizations to compare best practices for disaster relief, culminating in an exercise simulating a large scale earthquake response.
