191105-N-DI108-1168 KEYPORT, Wash. (Nov. 5, 2019) Cmdr. James W. Steffen, commanding officer of the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Olympia (SSN) 717, delivers remarks during a change-of-command ceremony for SSN 717. Steffen relieved Cmdr. Benjamin J. Selph. The submarine is scheduled to begin the inactivation and decommissioning process at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The 35-year-old Olympia was commissioned on Nov. 17, 1984.
