Lt. Col. Geraldo Resmondo, battalion commander of 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, is pinned his Expert Soldier Badge by his wife during 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division’s EIB and ESB award ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Oct. 31, 2019. Resmondo’s successful completion of the ESB makes him the first battalion commander to receive the new badge in Army history.
