Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) Spokesperson, U.S. Army Col. Myles Caggins held a press conference at the Kurdistan Coordination Center in Erbil, Iraq, Oct. 29, 2019. Col. Caggins spoke about how the mission at CJTF-OIR remains the same even after the death of Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He also affirmed the Coalition’s commitment to the Kurdistan region. “The proud people of Kurdistan will never forget the sacrifice of the Peshmerga soldiers, and the Coalition will also remember the sacrifice and bravery of our partners in the Peshmerga. The 75 nations and five international organizations that make up the Global Coalition remain resolved to ensure the lasting defeat of Daesh.
