An F/A 18F Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 prepares for launch as pilots and aircraft assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 depart the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and return to their home bases after nearly six months embarked.
