    Sailors assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 6 explain how a submarine can produce oxygen and scrub carbon monoxide while underway to a group of middle schoolers during a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) presentation at Hampton Roads Fleet Week on Naval Station Norfolk, Oct. 18, 2019. More than 2,000 local fifth graders saw STEM presentations from various commands throughout the event. The submarine force has committed to STEM through a number of learning opportunities for students to help inspire the next generation of service members.
