SAN DIEGO (Oct. 15, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Jurie Causapin, a command drug and alcohol program advisor (DAPA) assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), teaches a Navy alcohol abuse prevention (NAAP) alcohol aware course to Sailors at the hospital Oct. 15. In addition to the course, NAAP's curriculum includes DAPA and alcohol and drug abuse management seminar for supervisors (ADAMS) training. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high-quality healthcare services, and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
