Arkansas City, Kansas municipal employees practice installing stop logs in the closure structure of the Arkansas City Levee, October 9. The structure includes a recess in the middle of the road to install a centerpost during a flood. The closure structure was constructed by the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and must be tested every five years to ensure staff know how to install the stop logs.
