Rangers and engineers from the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas Area Office remove equipment from the stilling basin below Elk City Dam's conduit, Oct. 3. The conduit is 16 feet in diameter and was dewatered to allow engineers to inspect the structure. The baffles in the foreground dissipate the energy of water being released from the conduit.
