Two military personnel in U.S. Army OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniforms are conducting a combatives or hand-to-hand combat training exercise outdoors. One soldier is holding what appears to be a training knife while the other is practicing a defensive or disarming technique. The setting appears to be a dry, scrubby outdoor training area with trees and brush in the background.

Soldiers assigned to Apache Troop, 4th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, find their warrior spirit while learning the art of hand-to-hand combat with a bayonet and tomahawk from Petty Officer 1st Class Snake Blocker, a logistic specialist in the Navy Reserve and member of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas and battle historian for the Apache culture. The training was conducted in the training area of Fort Hood, Tx. July 29, 2019.
