A group of military personnel in various camouflage uniforms are engaged in what appears to be a close-quarters combat or weapons handling training exercise in an outdoor rural setting. Multiple pairs of soldiers are practicing defensive or disarmament techniques with handguns. One individual in Navy digital camouflage (NWU) is visible among predominantly Army OCP-uniformed personnel.

Soldiers assigned to Apache Troop, 4th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, find their warrior spirit while learning the art of hand-to-hand combat with a bayonet and tomahawk from Petty Officer 1st Class Snake Blocker, a logistic specialist in the Navy Reserve and member of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas and battle historian for the Apache culture. The training was conducted in the training area of Fort Hood, Tx. July 29, 2019.
