Galloway, the Deputy Commanding General of the First U.S. Army, with an M-16 bayonet as a thank-you gift for speaking at the Illinois Army National Guard's Commanders Guidance Conference. Galloway told Illinois Army National Guard leaders that tough realistic training will ensure victory in a war with near-peer enemy. Galloway spoke to the ILARNG leaders on Sept. 23 as part of the Illinois Army National Guard's Commanders Guidance Conference in East Peoria, Illinois.
