Roberto Enrique Obando River, poses for a photo with staff and students of Republic de Cuba in Puerto Lempira, Honduras, Sept. 21, 2019. Republic de Cuba is one of the schools that the task force’s logistics command element built in 2016. Since the construction of the school, the community has had an increase of 200 students and an immense decrease in criminal activity from the youth. The task force is conducting training and engineering projects alongside partner nation military forces in Central and South America. The unit is also on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the event of emergencies in the region. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Dante Fries)
