Chief Warrant Officer 3, Calvin Gatch III, an engineer equipment officer with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, speaks with children about a nearby river at Puerto Lempira, Honduras, Sept. 21, 2019. This river is used by the local community for swimming, laundry and bathing. Gatch is well known in the community and has seen an immense progression to the education system since the construction of the schools. The task force is on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the event of emergencies in the region. Gatch is a native of Platteville, Wisconsin.
