SEWARD, Alaska (September 19, 2019) – Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) transport a chain during landing craft operations with Landing Craft, Utility (LCU) 1665, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 1, as part of Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
