Spc. Kevin Stevens, Hawaii National Guard, leaps for points in the new APRT. Army National Guard NCOs and Soldiers competing in the 2012 Region VII Best Warrior tournament at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., gathered at the local college to try their mettle in the new up and coming Army Physical Readiness Test. Troops powered through shuttle runs, shoulder-width push-ups, rowing sit-ups, long jump and the usual loops around the track. Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah sent their two best warriors to the Golden State April 23-26 to pit their abilities against the best for that region.
