The 351st Civil Affairs Command outgoing commander and commanding general, Brig. Gen. Gary A. Medvigy passes the guidon to the commanding general of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), Maj. Gen. Jeffery A. Jacobs during a relinquishment of command ceremony for Medvigy, May 6. The guidon is the flag that symbolizes the unit and historically has been the central rallying point for soldiers on the field of battle. Assuming the command on an interim basis is the deputy commander of the 351st CACOM, Col. Jimmy Rankin.
